Problem solving is a core part of my work, and currently that includes taking messy data and translating it into business solutions. I work across all facets of the data lifecycle including engineering, analytics, and modeling.
What I Do
Currently I'm a Sr. Data Scientist with ReefPoint Group, a D.C. based government consulting firm. In my time I've worked extensively with Palantir Foundry and Microsoft Power Platform understanding the business needs of non-technical stakeholders and turning them into data-driven solutions for the VA.

Some of my notable projects include building a classification model for detecting demographic collection points in VA forms and building out a full database management system (DBMS) with Microsoft Power Platform for tracking and analyzingPaperwork Reduction Act (PRA) collections as they move through the approval lifecycle.
My background includes a PhD in Mathematics with a minor in Data Science & Statistics from The University of Tennessee - Knoxville where I researched applications of elliptic curves to error-correcting codes (ECC). You can read all about it in my dissertation.
What I Explore
My recent interests have been building full-stack systems leveraging modern framework tools, like
- Supabase - Cloud based database hosting
- PostgreSQL - Open source object relational database system
- Python - General purpose programming language with machine learning and AI capabilities
- Ray - Python framework to scale AI in cloud based systems
- FastAPI - Web framework for building APIs in Python
- React - Frontend JavaScript library for building quick web applications
- Astro - JavaScript framework for building my personal blog
There's no shortage of tools in the AI landscape, and I look for those that help people cut through all the noise and bloat to get to the heart of their problems. I continue to research and explore Natural Language Processing (NLP) and speech-to-text models (like Open AI's Whisper) to extract insight from spoken word.
The future is now, and data is the key to the lock.
